Penney Carruth and I have created historical market reports examining key sales statistics from 2004 to present in the mid valley markets in Basalt, Carbondale, Missouri Heights and the Crystal Valley. This custom market report offers overview statistics for Single Family Homes and Condos, Town Homes and Duplexes in each of these areas.
We use averages in each graph to showcase general trends over time. You can see the effect of the economic downturn in 2008, with a dramatic drop in prices and number of sales from 2009 - 2011 or so, and then the gradual climb in prices and number of sales since 2012. The effect of COVID-19 on real estate in our areas was dramatic, which resulted in a significant uptick in prices from 2019 to present.
