March 2024 Blog

Hello!

Spring skiing is upon us! My daughter Ayla finished her last day of AVSC Ski School at Snowmass Village this past Saturday. In the past week, Aspen and Snowamss have received some much needed snow. Today is definitely a powder day!

Below you'll find the latest information about two new development projects in the Roaring Fork Valley: Black Mountain near downtown Basalt and another one in Spring Valley in rural South Glenwood (near Elk Springs and the Spring Valley CMC Campus).

In this Blog, I share 4 recommended listings in Basalt, Carbondale and Missouri Heights. And as per usual, you'll find the latest interest rates and a helpful mortgage calculator. I am also excited to share my recent sale in Glenwood Springs and the latest on my current listings.

As always, please reach out if I can help in any way!

Best,

Black Mountain in Basalt

The Jadwin Parcel, one of the last developable lots in the Basalt 2020 Master Plan, is an approximately 9-acre site located between the Roaring Fork River and Emma Road, down-valley from the Basalt Post Office and Library. The current plan calls for 64 residential units. 32 of the units will be deed-restricted affordable multifamily units with a mix of sizes and types. The remaining 32 units will be free-market multifamily units including townhomes and apartments.

New Spring Valley Development Project

A development firm named Storied Development is seeking approval for a reworked 577-home private golf community located near Elk Springs and the Spring Valley CMC campus in rural Genwood Springs. The exiting Spring Valley Ranch is a sprawling 6,000 acre parcel. Spring Valley Ranch’s plan calls for an 18-hole golf course, a nine-hole “short course,” a clubhouse, a small, private ski hill on southwest-facing slopes and about 20 miles of trails with limited public access.

I am super excited share that I helped found the Sell a Home, Help Build a Home campaign where local brokers to commit 1% of their net sales commission to Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork. Known as Ground Breakers, we are among the first participants in this truly inspirational effort to develop workforce housing in our area. As of March 2024, the campaign has raised over $32,000 so far!

Sellers can donate too! To learn how 100% of your contribution can go towards building a new home by taking advantage of Habitat's Enterprise Zone tax credit opportunities, please visit the website below!
