Year-End 2023 Resort Market Report
The Resort Market Report looks at the year 2023 in review at 12 mountain resorts in the Western states of Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Utah and New Mexico. The report compares the real estate markets in Aspen, Snowmass Village, Vail and Beaver Creek, Breckinridge, Telluride, Winter Park, Whitefish, Big Sky, Sun Valley, Sandpoint, Jackson Hole, Park City, North Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe and Sante Fe.
Overall, the mountain resort market as a whole seems to be stabilizing, with either light growth or negative growth in total dollar volume sold and longer days on market compared to 2022. Average sale prices continue to increase at light/moderate rates in most areas. I interpret this to mean that the Seller’s market is still strong, but slowing down, allowing Buyers more time to find the right property and negotiate. Read more below!
